Planned gold testing & verification workflow
A structured inspection workflow being prepared for bullion dealers, refineries, logistics providers and institutional buyers. These services are not yet operational and cannot currently be requested.
Ultrasonic testing
Log longitudinal velocity and thickness readings and compare them against fine-gold reference values to screen for internal inconsistencies.
Density & dimensions
Specific gravity calculation from weight and dimensions or displacement volume, with deviation against 19.32 g/cm³.
Hallmark & serial records
Capture refiner marks, fineness stamps, assayer marks and bar serial numbers alongside photographic evidence.
Chain of custody
Timestamped custody entries for sealing, handover, transport and vault receipt, retained with an audit log.
Reports with QR verification
Branded PDF inspection reports with QR reference, prepared for buyers, refineries, banks and logistics partners.
RESULTS
Confidence ratings, not guarantees
Every inspection produces a confidence rating derived from the number of independent methods applied, the consistency of the readings and the completeness of the documentation.

Multiple independent methods applied with consistent results and full documentation.
Moderate
Partial method coverage or minor inconsistencies requiring follow-up.
Low
Limited data, surface-only testing or readings that conflict with declared specifications.

XRF is a surface technique and cannot detect base-metal or tungsten cores below the analysed layer; density measurement cannot separate metals of similar specific gravity; ultrasonic results depend on couplant, probe and operator technique. Where results are inconclusive, a laboratory fire assay or ICP analysis may be requested before settlement.
All inspection records are verified by authorised, access-controlled storage and an audit log.
Status: planned workflow. GCI does not currently
offer XRF, ultrasonic, density or chain-of-custody
inspection as a bookable service, and inspection
requests are not being accepted through this
website. The workflow described above sets out how
inspections will be recorded once the service,
equipment and qualified inspectors are commissioned
and independently tested.
